Amanda Palmer

Disclaimer: This project is included to reflect the scope of my creative professional work at the time, and predates the public allegations involving Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman. While I’m proud of my work, I believe it’s important to acknowledge the full context and stand firmly against harm and abuse in all forms.

In 2017, Amanda Palmer—author, musician, and frontwoman of punk cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls—needed a site refresh to create a sleeker, more community-driven experience. As the author of The Art of Asking and a TED speaker who thrives on crowdfunding, Amanda wanted a platform to share content regularly and engage with fans. The goal was to make her content more cohesive, stylish, and easy to navigate, integrating Patreon, blog posts, and multimedia seamlessly. After several iterations (including a zine-inspired version featuring a custom typeface from her handwriting), we landed on a flexible, photography-forward design built with Tasty Studio. During this time, I also extended the visual language across her newsletter, merch, and social media.
